I am a woman in long term recovery and a wife, mother, friend, and tutor. I retired from teaching in 2023 knowing that I wanted to work with women in recovery more frequently. As soon as I stepped out of the classroom, I realized that opening a recovery home for women would be my next step in pursuing my passion.  My life centers around recovery, and my recovery has granted me a life beyond anything I ever imagined.  The support I had from my family and other women in recovery was invaluable, and I know I would not be who I am today without them. This is what has driven me to open up Winding Staircase Recovery. In short, I want to provide the education, love and support, like I had and still have, to women in early recovery so they can create a fulfilling, joyful life.

I am a passionate music lover, true crime enthusiast, and proud mother of three beautiful children. My journey has been one of transformation; I am a person in recovery from alcoholism, and after nearly a year of sobriety, I finally feel like the orchestrator of my own destiny. This experience has not only reshaped my life but has also deepened my understanding of resilience and personal growth. In my previous career as a healthcare professional, I learned the significance of compassion and support in people's lives. Those valuable lessons continue to guide me as I now focus on childcare, where I find immense joy in nurturing young minds and helping them explore their potential.

When I’m not working, I dedicate time to mentoring others on their recovery journeys. Sharing my experiences has become an integral part of my life, allowing me to connect with those facing similar struggles and learn from their stories as well. I firmly believe that genuine support and a relatable community are essential for recovery, and I have found that connecting with others who understand these challenges is invaluable.

I am truly grateful for where I am today and excited for what the future holds. Each day brings new opportunities for growth, connection, and the chance to inspire others on their paths to healing.

I am currently in school for radiology. I love all kinds of music and cooking, and I am a very outgoing and energetic woman. I strive everyday to help myself, as well as others on to their path of sobriety. Winding Staircase has taught me a lot about myself and helped me so much on my journey, and I love the community we have here!
